Hazel Mulqueen is a retired primary school teracher. She enjoyed a long and happy career dedicated to the education of young children. Originally from County Limerick, she moved to Dublin where she raised two boys with her husband, Paul. Engaging with extended family and the richness of Irish culture are important to Hazel. These are central themes in this book. In recent years, County Kerry has found a special place in her heart. The beauty of the landscape and the comminity's celebration of Halloween traditions inspired Hazel to write Howl at Halloween: Áine goes to Kenmare.
Catherine Woods is a Kenmare based illustrator and graphic designer. She has completed many commissions in the fields of fantasy illustration, print media, concept art and logo design, and her work has been published in literary magazines in Ireland.
