Seamus O’Rourke is an actor, a poet, a playwright and a proud Leitrim man. He has written fifteen stage plays and one whole book of poems, recitations and good ones. He’s always on the radio. Based in rural Ireland, he has become widely known for his simple storytelling – capturing rural Irish life in a way that both amuses and affects.
His writing takes a rare approach – he watches from a different hill – it oozes with an energy and passion that comes from being in the wrong place at the right time. The only time you can get all the details is when there’s nothing happening.
That’s when you find out everything.
